Better a freestanding or integrated dishwasher?

Hello, I'm going to change my kitchen and I am not sure about some appliances and in particular about the dishwasher. I still don't know whether to buy a freestanding or an integrated dishwasher. What do you recommend? I preferred a bult-in model but maybe the performances of a freestanding dishwasher are higher. What do you think?

I have just bought an integrated dishwasher for my kitchen (I only changed the appliances) at Direct Appliances which offers a huge variety of models. My mum and I have always had integrated dishwashers and we have never had problems. I think that I would never buy a freestanding one. I really don't like freestanding appliances.

Well, even if integrated dishwashers look like nicer, freestanding models are much more manageable and you can change or repair them easily in case of damages. in the event you want to change your old appliance, to find a built in dishwasher perfectly fitting the space available is quite difficult. I experienced it! Furthermore, integrated dishwashers are much more expensive than built-in models.

On the contrary, I adore freestanding appliances. Today you can find many freestanding dishwashers that are specifically designed to fit the space that beneath the countertop, for example, so that it really look like a built-in dishwasher, even if you can also use it as a free standing piece. In this way you can choose the best colours and finishes for your kitchen. I have just bought a slimline dishwasher of this type and I'm really satisfied of the overall appearance of the room, and of the machine's performance as well.

Why don't you buy a semi integrated dishwasher? I don't like freestanding models but I like always having the control panel on display
