Gas or Electric Oven?

I need to furnish my new house and I would like to start from the kitchen. In particular, I have a choice between a gas or electric new oven, but I really don’t know which one is better for me. Could you please give me some advice about the advantages and disadvantages of using electric and gas ovens that will help me in making a good decision?

I found that gas ovens usually take a little bit time to cook, whereas electric ones tend to heat up quicker and they are easier to clean, but also more expensive. Apart from buying it, the much higher price of electricity compared with gas may also contribute to make electric ovens far more expensive to run.

Electric ovens can also have the disadvantage of remaining hot even when they are turned off, which can be quite dangerous, especially if small children are around.

I personally would prefer gas ovens because they heat the food you are cooking on the stove-top more uniformly, and it is also more difficult to burn something.
