It may be worth paying a little more for a memory foam mattress?

I was trying to read up a little bit about the latest innovations in the world of mattresses and pillows, and I have concentrated my attention on new material called “memory foam”. Deepening my research, I saw how making an expense could allow me to enjoy a kind of “cloud effect” by simply purchasing a pillow and a memory topper (a far less expensive option than the mattress). However, seeing as I have to buy a new mattress in any case, I would like to focus on the complete solution (pillow + topper + mattress), even though I don’t yet understand why the cost is so high, and if it is really worth it or not.

The memory foam is really revolutionary in the conception of mattresses, so you are right to consider such a purchase. A pillow in memory foam and a good mattress with a layer of memory foam (minimum 5 cm) will help you sleep better. Furthermore, if you add a topper to these, you really feel like you are lying on a cloud. These toppers, known as a “memory topper”, are generally a kind of overlay mattress of 5 cm in height, with a cover, which can instantly be attached to your mattress. If the latter is still in good condition, it may not be necessary to have to change it at all.

The memory foam mattress is certainly a good choice for your sleep, and for your health. The material is it made from is a result of industrial processing of polyurethane foam, with the addition of a myriad of water bubbles (also called “processing water”). At high temperatures, the water evaporates and, the resulting material is the expanded polyurethane with open porous cells, making it so breathable, practical and very elastic (if pressed, the mattress immediately resume its original shape, and maintains it over time) becoming a “memory.” During the manufacturing phase, substances are added that modify its resilience, rendering it very soft and yielding, sensitive to the weight and heat of the human body, reacting to them by softly yielding. This mattress is also non-allergenic and anti-mite.

It is true that we spend almost half of our lives sleeping, lying down on the bed resting  the body the mind; our choice of mattress is a really important life choice. The quality of our sleep depends greatly on the quality of the base mattress and pillow. They even influence the other half of our life, the one spent awake. In general, “memory foam” can be a good choice, but be aware that if you have back problems, you may be wrong in choosing it. Memory foam does not provide enough core support which, in turn, can cause serious back pain, and it makes the bed much too warm.
