What about putting a wine cooler in my bedroom?

I'd like to place a wine fridge in my bedroom. The point is that I live with some more people and we share a common fridge so that there is no space for my bottles of wine. If I buy a wine cooler, we might have a collection of our favourite wines and during our dinners we might choose the one we prefer and have it at the right temperature. Are there any particular advices I should be aware of before making this purchase?

I also live with some more people and I try to do everything in my bedroom to avoid troubles with my flatmates. Si, I had the same problem and since my bedroom is quite small I bought an under counter wine cooler: I can store just 6 bottles of wine but I think it's enough. In my opinion, one important aspect is noise: wine refrigerators are quite noisy and I can't sleep with a constant humming sound in my bedroom. So, I suggest you to look for a very a silent wine fridge.

Another aspect you must care is the level of humidity. Wine coolers should ensure a level of humidity of 70% but most of them can hardly achieve 30%. Anyway, the best refrigerators are those with the thermoelectric system, based on Peltier cooling units, which is most energy-efficient and definitely very silent. I've read a lot of reviews of wine coolers and it seems that the top brands producing wine cabinets are Avanti and Vinotemp.

I recommend you DIHL. I have got a 12-bottles wine coolers by DIHL and it works perfectly. I think is the right one for you if you mean to place it in you bedroom. It has a silent thermoelectric cooling that means that there's no noisy compressor and no vibrations. You will sleep peacefully, trust me! I bought it at a very affordable price and I didn't renounce to high-quality.
