What Do You Think of Automatic Detergent Supply Washing Machines?

Hello everyone,
I am getting ready to buy a washing machine and a dryer even considering that I have limited space for both and that they are two of the most expensive household appliances that I can afford. In any case, I actually need both of them for my new apartment. In general, I like very much new Bosch washer-dryers because of the self-cleaning filter function, although we all know that then filters should be cleaned regularly.
I also found amazing new front loading washing machines also including this kind of optional detergent supply device for supplying up to 5/6 litres of liquid detergent passing through a dedicated and integrated automatic measuring system.
This is because having a small space in the bathroom where I can put these new appliances and it would seem much more convenient to directly empty a big laundry detergent bottle and… that’s it!

If you like Bosch washing machines, I recommend the new self dosing Bosch  i-DOS, the  intelligent automatic dosing system that autonomously determine the load size and the level of soiling of the laundry. It is also a very energy efficient washing machine. I also compared it with Whirlpool and Indesit similar washing machines, but I still prefer the first model I tried.

I am also considering the purchase of a Bosch washing machine with a smaller drum size that may automatically supply laundry detergent. So far I actually use approximately 1/2 cup to 1 cup per load of  two types of laundry detergent: anti-bacterial powder  for bed and kitchen, night wear, and shirts and liquid detergent at low temperatures under 60degC. In the case  it may be time to replace my washing machine with the new model I am considering buying, this change will also imply the use of only one type of detergent. Since I have a very small apartment, the opportunity to spare the space usually occupied by one additional bottle of detergent may also represents another way to maximize my limited space even more than what I experience now.

Don’t forget that even in case of really compact washing machines much smaller than normal, you should consider the size of the 'circle' as well as the height of all the piping and electrical wiring and the space taken up by a wall socket or the waste water stand pipe, so that the space required for a washing machine or clothes dryer in a fitted bathroom might be more than expected.
