What's the best coffee maker?

My old filter coffee maker got broken and I want to buy a new one. After my holidays in Italy I thought that it might be better to choose a coffee machine able to make coffee, espresso or cappuccino because I can't help having one in the morning anymore. Do you have any suggestions? I don't know much about the last brands and models of coffee makers and their features. But I wouldn't like to spend too much. Thank you in advance.

I have got a Tassimo T45 coffee machine and I'm absolutely satisfied. I use it for making coffee, tea and chocolate. It's a low-energy machine and very easy to use. Moreover, it's very silent and it has a special water filtration system that removes all those particles affecting the taste of your drink. I think Bosch is very reliable brand. The only disadvantage is that it has got a single cup system :-( and I live with my boyfriend!

I've just bought a Nescafe Dolce Gusto espresso machine for my office. It is very functional since it works with capsules and it's very easy to use. It has a set of ready to make beverages: Espresso, Lungo, Latte Macchiato, Decaf, Cappuccino, Cappuccino Skinny, Mocha, Cafe Americano, Hot Chocolate and many more. It is quite expensive but I think you can't save money on your morning coffee!

The prices of coffee makers are much higher than those of filter coffee makers and percolators. You can have a filter coffee maker at £ 50,00 now. Anyway in my house I have both. My espresso coffee maker is a Delonghi, an Italian brand with a century-old reputation. If you want your machine to last for a long time there are some tips that will help you: clean regularly the group and gasket of old coffee and try to use soft water.
